Simple Pleasures.
When Lyla was a newborn, Eric told me he could not wait until she was at the age where- he would come home from work  and Lyla would run to the door, to greet him with a hug and a, "Hi Daddy!"

Well, she's at that age, and it makes his day.

Lately, she welcomes him with some of her "art work" on the front porch.

Some things are that simple. I enjoy watching Lyla be creative. Lyla is having fun with pieces of chalk, Eric is thankful to see his wish come true.

100 degrees.
Today it was super hot outside. Wednesday is my work day, so I was at the Naydans with Allison and Julia (who got out of school early, due to the heat).
My dad dropped Lyla off and the fun began. I filled up the kiddie pool and the girls jumped right in. They splashed around for an hour, took an ice cream break, and went back in for another 30 minutes. Lyla went down the slide 100 times.
They were pretty exhausted when we came inside. After their baths and comfy clothes it was movies time.
I'm lucky I have a job that allows me to bring Lyla- and it's a big bonus for her as well.
 Lyla loves these girls!

It's going to be a fun Summer!
