Free Willy.
Eric has been working hard. Very hard. His work days are between 16 and 18 hrs. We have received many calls, texts and e-mails with others appreciation. Thanks for the kind words!

What's that have to do with Free Willy? Well, nothing really.

While Eric has been restoring power... Lyla and I have been enjoying the end of summer (and missing Eric, a whole, whole lot).

On Sunday (yucky Hurricane Irene Day), I decided it would be a perfect movie day! A good day to stay in our jammies, eat yummy snacks and watch movies.

Lyla can sit through movies. She get's 'into' them. Mainly animated movies, but put her in front of Home Alone- and her eyes are glued to the t.v. (and that was last Christmas)!

On Sunday I chose, Free Willy. She loved it.
She did. She REALLY did.

She fell in love with Willy, just like I did. She fell in love with Jessie, just like I did.

And then IT started. Her lips started to quiver, just like mine did.

Lyla: OH NO MOMMY! Where is Willy going? Why does Willy have to leave Jessie?

Me: It's ok Lyla, Willy is going to be with his family now. He needs his family, just like Jessie needed a family.

Lyla: BUT MOM! Willy loves Jessie, they need each other!

Lyla: Are you SERIOUSLY taking a picture of me having a meltdown? This better not be on the blog Mom.

Lyla: Oh NO, there he goes!

(in her real voice)... Where Willy go?? Where Willy go??
Hysterical, just like I was.

She get's that from me.
Tear Jerkers- they don't just make me shed a tear, I get Hysterical. Apparently Lyla does too.

I think we will stick with these fish for now:

Buety Resort.
Have you been to the Buety Resort?
This salon is going to be BIG- I mean, Justin Beiber Big.
The prices are GREAT. Check out the deals...

The employee's were very friendly.

They offer snacks at their "salon."

And the 15 minute foot rubs are A- Mazing!
(p.s. Joey's thumb is in between my toes... so even though it looks like I have 6... I still only have 5. I don't plan on growing any more. No matter how good the foot rubs are).

Here's the Boss. Hard at work. She's thinking about offering a Groupon.

Overall: Fabulous experience. Uncle Eric really enjoyed his back rub. My feet felt fabulous. We both highly recommend the Buety Resort!

Awesome Day. Part 2. (scroll down for part 1)
Lyla's First Ravens Game.

Awesome Day. Part 1.
Today was a GREAT day. Just one of those, overall, everything is perfect, kinda days.

Lyla and I started our day with SHOPPING! What better way to start a day, right? Well, we were really taking advantage of the 'tax free' week in Maryland, and shopping for Summer clothes for her (in 3T) for next year.

Shopping + Saving money = Awesome.

During our lunch break, we got a call from Eric.

He was calling to tell us he was offered a Crew Leader position with BGE! Whoo hoo!!

For those of you who don't know- (back track a couple months) Eric tested for the position, did the interview and has patiently been for an offer (or decline).

Eric + Crew Leader = Awesome.

And just another 'shout out' about my fabulous husband (yes, he is going to kill me for this post...but I am just so proud)...

Two weeks ago he was named the Safety Star at BGE. He went out of his way to turn a dangerous situation around (basically he saw something unsafe when he wasn't working- and fixed it (or something like that... )! Having done so- we got to go the Constellation Skybox at Camden Yards for an O's game. Pretty Cool.

Safety Star + O's game = Awesome.

To end our wonderful day, we headed to the Ravens pre-season game!! It was extra cool because it was Lyla's first Ravens game. She LOVED it! She was amazed. Loved being on the field. Loved the Skybox. Loved cheering for the Ravens. Loved spending time with Laura and Melissa.

Thanks Uncle Scott!

Lyla's first game + Ravens = Awesome.

(Ravens pics. to come, in Part 2 post of our awesome day.)

We are so proud of you for working hard. You are dedicated to your work. You do not like waking up everyone morning to GO to work, but you never complain.
Thank you so much for supporting us. I am SO  LUCKY I get to stay home with Lyla. I am VERY GRATEFUL. We love you.

(on Erics behalf, I took these pics. a few months ago- he had no idea I would use them for a post)
Eric taking care of his work clothes:

Love you Daddy!

Her Baby.
She has been such a good Mommy lately. To, "Baby."
Every couple of days I ask her what her baby's name is... she still says, "Baby."
I am waiting for a 'real' name.

So far she has no interest in drawing on Baby or poking her eyes out (well, a lot of kids do...).

She feeds her, dresses her and loves taking her on walks. I think I should get her a baby doll stroller, but for now she is happy pushing Baby around in the grocery cart.

Enjoy the beautiful weather!

Happy Monday.

I hope you have a great week.

Lyla Grace

Just squeezing in some outside playtime while it's not too hot!
